Intensive Care Units Visiting arrangements will be made upon admission to the ICU's. The medical and nursing staff retain the right to limit visitors based on the clinical status of the individual patient and the overall status of the unit. The preferred maximum number of visitors within a room at one time is two. Visiting hours are: 9:00am -11:00am 1:00pm – 3:00pm 5:00pm – 6:00pm 9:00pm – 10:00pm Surgery Should you require surgery, comfortable waiting rooms for your family are located near the surgery suite, and a hostess is on duty to keep them informed of your condition. Cots If you want a family member or friend to stay overnight to be near your bedside, you may rent a cot (if you are in a private room) or, in some cases, the adjacent hospital bed in a semiprivate room. Ask your nurse to make the arrangements for you. Food Services Cafeteria -A large cafeteria, located in the basement, features appetizing meals at reasonable prices for the convenience of family members. Daily serving hours are: Breakfast, 5:30 - 10 am; Lunch, 10:30 am - 2 pm; Dinner, 4:30 - 8:30 pm. Beverage serving lines are open continuously. Visitors are welcome at any time the cafeteria is open, however, the cafeteria is less congested during the following hours: Breakfast 6:30 - 9:30 am Lunch 11 - 11:30 am or 1 - 2 pm Dinner 4:30 - 5 pm Main Vending A comfortable vending area, amply supplied with vending items, is open around the clock. Located in the basement, it is easily accessible from the main public elevators. Sweet Bay Located in the main lobby, Sweet Bay offers cappuccino, espresso, and other beverages as well as bagels, muffins and cookies Monday through Saturday. Parking Parking for visitors is conveniently located in lots near the Medical Center's main entrance. The lots are well lighted and regularly checked by the security staff. However, Sparks is not responsible for damage to vehicles or property stolen from cars parked on the lots. |
